How much comfort for your seat and ears can nonwovens provide?
One major objective of J. H. Ziegler is to improve the standard of comfort inside a vehicle. The developers at Ziegler paid particular attention to the seat comfort and the level of noise inside the car. These two topics will be the main focus of our trade fair stand at the Interauto. There will be an opportunity to test upholstered seat covers padded with various products. The acoustic nonwovens are presented using results obtained in an Alpha Cabin.

The requirements of the automobile industry regarding wellness inside the vehicle have been implemented in the seating. This includes particular ideas on the climatic effectiveness, a more pleasant first impression on sitting down and improved haptics. However, the antistatic effect, the reduction of emissions and the avoidance of pathogens are also the target of Ziegler's developmental interests. In addition to the wide range of materials used for upholstery, wear-resistant nonwovens for visible areas, for example, on the sides of the seat backs, supplement our range for the seats.

The focus for our acoustically insulating nonwovens was on the reduction of weight, the lowering of emissions, and the recyclability. Furthermore, we have implemented our own requirements regarding compliance with particularly strict fire standards in order to improve passenger protection. Virgin fiber nonwovens from J.H. Ziegler also offer improved processing properties on account of their uniformity and because they can be welded ultrasonically. The use of virgin fibers allows optimum utilization of the constructional space within the vehicle while taking account of the acoustic objective.

The range of materials from Ziegler is supplemented by nonwovens and nonwoven composites for a large number of other automobile applications: thermoformable nonwovens, nonwovens to laminate components, nonwovens with special finishes as well as precut parts are also important products in our range.

The wide range of possibilities available to us as a nonwoven manufacturer based in Achern and the young and flexible team that support our customers in realizing their objectives combine to provide a very interesting package in the nonwoven sector. As a traditional and fast reacting company, J.H. Ziegler has already proved this many times. The internal business units were reorganised in order to correspond to market demands even more closely, and last year the DIN ISO 9001 certification, already held for some years, was extended to TS 16949 for the automobile sector.
Ziegler's automobile team is looking forward to presenting our expertise and our range of products to interested visitors at the Interauto.
