Nonwovens with a weight of 60 to 2000 gram per square metre and a thickness of 2 to 200 mm are used. They can be strengthened thermally as well as chemically and mechanically. Further processing steps are implemented, depending on the required properties of the finished product, e.g. laminated (charmeuse, foam, Velcro, spun-bonded web, etc.), fire-resistant, antibacterial, washable and antistatic finishes as well as cutting to size, perforations and stitching.
