Structure
HACOsoft is a thermally bonded voluminous nonwoven. Its properties can be precisely tailored to the respective requirements by selecting the appropriate type of fibres. For example, fine fibres are used if the product is to have good insulating properties, whereas coarse fibres are used where a high gas or liquid permeability or a good padding effect is required.
Characteristics
Good compression set is only one of the special characteristics of HACOsoft. It also has a very good drapability and a textile character. Furthermore, these nonwovens are usually given a fire-resistant finish.
Applications
Different HACOsoft grades with different weights per unit area are used to pad the seat area of upholstered furniture or for backing (e.g. sides of rests). Special types are used in filtering systems or for acoustic and/or thermal insulation.
