Structure
HACOloft is a needle-punched nonwoven that is usually given additional thermal strengthening thus providing particular stability with respect to shape and dimensions. Needle-punching can produce both a homogeneous as well as a progressive nonwoven structure.
Characteristics
Very high strengths are possible with this special production technique. HACOloft can be tailored so that it is hard and inherently stiff at the same time.
Applications
HACOloft is suitable for a wide variety of technical applications, depending on the structure of the material and type of fibres it contains. HACOloft needle-punched nonwovens are less voluminous than HACOsoft and HACOfill and can thus be used where space is restricted.
