Structure
HACOflex is a foam/nonwoven composite produced by needle-punching the fibre layer to a foam. The fibres on the upper face do not need to be covered with charmeuse. Various types of foams can be used. The rear face of the foam can also be laminated with covering material so that the foam slides and can be easily stitched.
Characteristics
The combination of the foam's point elasticity and the nonwoven's flexibility results in product with a textile character and a very good drapability as well as an excellent padding effect. HACOflex is thus particularly suitable for lamination with natural and artificial leathers that must meet strict requirements with respect to appearance and service value.
Applications
HACOflex is chiefly used in automobile interiors as padding in the seat and rests, side bolsters and in the head- and armrests.
